In-Class activity, November 26th  1. Three main takeaways-  having a strong organizational brand is particularly critical when a company faces a crisis. A strong well-managed branding strategy can add significant value to a company. Taking advantage of major corporate milestones contributes to the community it is based on.  2. Corporate reputation-  the overall estimation in which an organization is held by its internal and external stakeholders based on its past actions and probability of its future behavior. Two of the best corporate reputations are Patagonia and Wegmans. Patagonia donates lots of money to environmental groups. Reaching Diverse Audiences in class activity

1. Some main points that summarize the essence of the short documentary "America by the numbers" are Millennials make up 25% of the population and 1 out of 5 Millenials are Latino, so it is also important to be marketing to them because they are a big part of the future. Lots of growing cities such a Tampa have diversity growing by 3-5x the population. America is changing and the Latino population is growing at a rate of 164%. Businesses and corporations need to adapt to this fact.  Diversity is a huge part of the United States and creating advertisements that cater to this is important.  The rapid growth of the Latino community will continue, and keeping their culture alive is important in advertisements and in communities.  2.  I would likely use facebook as a social media to reach Hispanic women in the United States. An example is social media such as twitter, unhappy customers can tweet frustrations and businesses can write back to help resolve the situation and hel...

In Class Activity

1. Pop culture portrays PR as something that alters the truth and that the jobs they are doing are all luxurious. They portray them as somewhat evil and that they are always out to make people look bad, and can be easily manipulated to make someone look good. 2. Some ideas to change the perspective of PR are to 1. educate people on what PR professionals actually do to avoid the stereotypes put on media. 2. Spread the word that positive campaigns and displays on social media are also PR. We can all improve the publics understanding of PR by educating ourselves and therefore educating others.
